Queen’s University Style Guide

April 10, 2010 Leave a comment

I downloaded the Queen’s University Style Guide a couple of years ago and generally share it with my class.  It’s a PDF document that helps students with lots of the little grammatical problems that can sometimes trip them up. Things like this:

affect/effect Often confused. Affect is a verb, effect normally a noun. Your decision will affect me. This is the effect it has had on me. To effect change.

You can download the Style Guide from the Queen’s University site or from Queen’s%20Style%20Guide

How many times have you gone “grrrr” because you want to use bits of a PDF with students or online and then you do that copy and paste thing which works very clunkily? At least twice right!

Well, relax because PDF2Word Online does an amazing job of converting PDFs to word. You just upload the PDF to their website and then download the new document a couple of minute later.

And it works amazingly well! Try it HERE
